Sometimes you come across things that you wonder ‘Why did I not know of this before??’ Recently I had that  experience.  I will have lived in my home for 20 years this year and for longer than those 20 years there has been a small privately owned petting zoo/farm only 15 minutes from me.  It was a great find. I took my grandson and found they have an amazing collection of animals!  Some more of the obvious ones like chicks, kittens, goats, a turtle (a rather large one!), all which you can pet with the exception of the turtle.  They also have available for petting a baby kangaroo, a baby lemur, a fawn, miniature horses and a host of other interesting animals not available to pet.  As with all zoos, what is there is what you get, they may not always have the selection to pet that they do this year.  It was a great day, one not easily forgotten.  We will be back!
